600 Caliber
The culture of firearms in the United States lionizes large caliber weapons, be they the ammunition used in battleships or the eponymous “big iron on his hip”. 600 Caliber takes the form of a 6” diameter polished cannonball, displayed upon a custom made classical pedistal. Traditionally, a metal polished sphere is an object of fascination, “a device for contemplation, an object to be peered into, a container of the universe...” meant to be placed in the garden.
Despite this object being inert in its display, it is still ammunition.
