We’re so Over, We’re So Back
It never ends. We’re inside of a systematic machine that gorges itself on blood. It invents and pays for new ways of wreaking havoc. Ending lives with engineered precision. Though it’s as advanced as anything that has ever been, it’d been around longer than any poem, any culture, any thing. It’s war, and we’re giving it over to machines.
Born to die, We’re So Over, We’re So Back.
The main body of this media activated sculpture takes the form of a custom-built water-cooled PC contained within an aluminum casting of an ouroboros. The aluminum casting serves dual purposes as framing the PC and as the radiator for the water-cooling loop, the heat generated warming the form of the snake to body temperature. Running on the hardware is an ever-looping game of modded Counter Strike, set up so that two adversarial bots spawn in, fight, and die endlessly against the backdrop of non-descript battlefields.
